Returning to paid employment in 2026 following a year of maternity leave with my first daughter has been infinitely more enjoyable and achievable because I know I have a dedicated day at home with her each week. I also tend to start my days early, which means I'm home for dinner and bath time, a special opportunity for us to reconnect at the end of the day.

That flexibility has enabled me to continue doing the work I love while being present for the moments that matter most at home. I hope that by being open about both parts of my life, I can help show other women in professional services that motherhood and career ambition aren't mutually exclusive. For me, it's important that my colleagues know me not only as a Partner, but also as a mum, because both roles shape who I am and how I lead.
